9Electric Collaborates with Carla Harvey of Butcher Babies + New Single THE LIGHT Available Now

9Electric collaborates with Carla Harvey of Butcher Babies on “The Light,” the new single from the upcoming Megalith album. Megalith will be available via Pavement Entertainment and hits the streets on March 29, 2019. Preorder the album now on iTunes to receive an instant download of “The Light.” The single is also available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon.

Mikey Lopez, 9Electric guitarist, expresses his excitement on Megalith. Lopez says, “I’m ecstatic that Megalith is so close to being released. It’s been quite the journey for 9Electric to get to this point, and the thing I’m most proud of is the growth of the band and our music.” The band went through some lineup changes and stripped their sound back down to basics on the new album. Lopez continues,”I’m really excited, and hope that this new record will speak to people on as deep and meaningful of a level as it does to our band.”

“The Butcher Babies and 9Electric have a lot of history,” explains Harvey. “We played some of our early shows together in Hollywood, and have both undergone a lot of changes over the years. When I heard ‘The Light,’ I thought it was a great opportunity to showcase a side of both me and the band that a lot of people might not expect, and I’m really excited about how the song came out!”

On working with Harvey, 9Electric singer Ron Underwood says, “We’ve known Carla for a long time. I even directed a video with her in it a while back. We knew we wanted to feature a female guest vocalist on this song, and she was someone that we knew would do an amazing job with the clean vocals. As expected, it was a blast to collaborate with her again!”

POP EVIL RELEASE “BE LEGENDARY” MUSIC VIDEO

EUROPEAN TOUR ON SALE NOW

BAND TO TOUR AUSTRALIA FOR THE FIRST TIME

TICKETS ON SALE NOW

S/T OUT NOW

Pop Evil has released a new music video for their track “Be Legendary” today as the band continues to wow fans across the U.S. on their current headline tour. “Be Legendary” marks the fourth music video the band has released from their most current self-titled album that came out last year.

Pop Evil once again teamed up with American film director Columbia Tatone. The group previously collaborated with her on the past three music videos for “A Crime To Remember,” “Colors Bleed,” and ”Waking Lions.” “Be Legendary” currently sits at #11 on the Active Rock Chart.

“When we were first writing this song, it started with this addictive yet hypnotic guitar riff,”says frontman Leigh Kakaty. “Suddenly I could see our fans coming together as one. I just felt like this was going to be a great opportunity to write an anthemic type of lyrical song that could positively motivate people. Now we see all our fans posting on social media how this song motivates them in their daily lives. Plus, to see how passionate they are whenever they hear us perform it live. Time will tell just how big this song can become.”

Director Columbia Tatone weighs in, “This story is for the underdogs. It’s about friendship and togetherness. A reminder that although life doesn’t always ‘play fair,’ know that our trials are a gift as you build sustaining character, discovering what you’re indeed made of and made for as you earn the victory on the climb back up.”

Pop Evil also teamed up with SWAGTRON, the No. 1 brand of light electric vehicles including ebikes and electric scooters. SWAGTRON supplied all of the bikes seen in the video, as well as Swagcycle ebikes as prizes for Pop Evil giveaways through radio stations nationwide coinciding with the band’s current tour.

AVATAR ANNOUNCE 2019 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

From the Royal Court of Avatar Country on February 5 in the Year of the King (2019).

Dates begin on May 16 in Buffalo, NY and stretch coast to coast before wrapping up in Las Vegas, NV on June 15 exactly thirty days later.

“As we’ve stated in the past, we are reaching the end of the road for the Avatar Country saga,” says vocalist Johannes Eckerström. “And if you want to see us in all our Royal Glory in tribute to the King, this might very well be your last chance. We will make sure to go out with a bang!” The band is thrilled to announce that the legendary singer/songwriter and producer Devin Townsend will serve as direct support performing a full acoustic set. Southern California’s Dance With The Dead and Atlanta mainstays 68’ will open the show.  “This tour is extra special to us and me personally as we’ve not only amazing hand-picked openers to showcase what we think deserves more eyes and ears in ’68 and Dance with the Dead, but we also have the extreme pleasure and privilege to share the stage with Devin Townsend at an exciting phase of his career.” “I am a life long fan, and I genuinely feel that people who appreciate our willingness to experiment and walk that extra mile to be true to our vision and integrity have Mr. Townsend to thank for a lot. It will be a bucket list experience for me, and I hope we get to share it with as many people as possible.”

The 2019 trek across the U.S. will be the first time the band has toured in America since they went out with TRIVIUM on the “The Sin and the Sentence World Tour” last October.

General on-sale will be available this Friday, February 08, 2019. A special pre-sale will be available on Thursday, February 07, 2019, via Blabbermouth (password: BBM2019) and Revolver Magazine (Revolver2019).

Avatar released their seventh, and most Royal, full length, Avatar Country last year via Entertainment One. The LP debuted at #2 Indie, #4 Hard Music, #8 Rock, and #25 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

Critics praised the release as well. NEW NOISE MAGAZINE said Avatar Country was“the culmination of the group’s evolution into a singular powerhouse, a trip into the heart of what makes metal so distinctively powerful.”

LOUDWIRE called the opening track “Glory To Our King” sounds like “it could’ve come straight off of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club, a warm and over the top introduction to the rest of the album.” And finally, METAL INJECTION called Avatar Country “a wonderful ride.”

Messer continues momentum from Breakout year with release of new video for “Simple Man”

Messer is continuing their momentum from their breakout year by releasing Simple Man“, the 3rd single and video from their self-titled debut album, which bowed at #3 on the Soundscan New Artist chart and was named “New and Noteworthy at iTunes. The Dallas, Texas-based band had a banner year in 2018 with first single “Make This Life” reaching #25 on the Active Rock radio charts, and second single “Save Myself” also made it into the Top 30 – the only truly independent act to do so.

Singer Dereak Messer says: “Simple Man’ is a song written from the perspective of someone who is removing themselves from the drama or superficial aspects and expectations of social media in our society.  It’s someone who is resolved in the strength it takes to be alone and move themselves forward. It’s a narrative on how this person wants to find their own power and focus on clarity of self. “What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger” is the mantra and highlights the strength it takes to step away from the shallow aspects of the world into something more meaningful for themselves”.

“Simple Man” is already making inroads at radio and digital streaming services, and is set to follow in the footsteps of “Make This Life” and “Save Myself” which garnered attention throughout the rock world with spots on key Hard Rock playlists @ Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora Radio, Google Play Music, Youtube and Slacker Radio. The band has received positive press @ Loudwire, AXS, Alternative Press, Revolver, New Noise, Pure Grain Audio, and more.

The band is gearing up to go back on the road in the 2nd quarter of 2019.  Messer played more than 100 shows last year, including a 40-city sold out tour with RED and Lacey Sturm. The band was personally invited by Kevin Lyman to play the Texas leg of the final Vans Warped Tour.

The band’s cutting-edge modern rock sound was born through serendipitous connections in the thriving Deep Ellum music scene of Dallas, an area that has given rise to iconic Hard Rock and Metal bands like Pantera, Drowning Pool, Hell Yeah, and King’s X.  The band grew their fan base locally, and began to branch out regionally and nationally, opening for notable bands such as Sick Puppies, Candlebox, Hinder, Vince Neil, Black Stone Cherry, Drowning Pool, Metallica, Scott Stapp Of Creed, and Avenged Sevenfold, among others. It was on one of these tours that the band caught the attention of Los Angeles based writer/producer, Chad Gendason.  The band felt an immediate comradery with Chad and a lasting bond was made. Messer started writing with Chad, and their first collaboration became “Simple Man”. Fan favorite “Whiskey” soon followed and the songs started to flow into what would become their self-titled debut album “Messer“. The album was mixed by Ben Grosse (Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed) and mastered by Tom Baker (Papa Roach, David Bowie, Motley Crue).

Messer continues to build on their momentum and is forging ahead with gritty determination – powered by a ton of positive energy.

“Sprawls out with lush symphonies, communal vibes aplenty”—Billboard

“Wraps misgivings in three-chord elation”—The New York Times (Playlist lead)

“Buoyant, filled with the kind of sunlit energy created when throwing open the shutters.” —Pitchfork

“A swooning tune packed with kind vibes” —Rolling Stone

“A vibrant romp that seamlessly blends folksy fingerstyle guitar, ’90s rave music, a gospel choir, baroque piano, and the Grateful Dead… it’s absolutely delightful”—Stereogum

Father of the Bride will be released spring 2019 on Columbia Records.

In other news, congratulations are due to Vampire Weekend and XL Recordings on the band’s eponymous debut album being certified Platinum by the RIAA for U.S. sales in excess of 1,000,000.

Vampire Weekend was released January 29th, 2008 by XL, and debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200 charts. In addition to being newly certified Platinum in the U.S., the album has previously been certified Platinum by the BPI in the UK, and Gold by Music Canada and ARIA in Australia.

The first band to grace the cover of SPIN magazine before an album was even released, Koenig, Baio, Tomson and former member Rostam Batmanglij met in 2005 at Columbia University in New York City.  “Even without an album, Vampire Weekend has made one of the year’s most impressive debuts,” said The New York Times of the band’s earliest recordings.

The accolades continued through the album’s release, as Vampire Weekend appeared on 2008 Top 10 lists of Time, NPR, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, Pitchfork and countless others, as well as winning the NME award for “Best New American Indie/Alternative Band.” The band also made its first of three appearances on Saturday Night Live, as well as debut performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Since their debut, Vampire Weekend have released two additional albums, both of which debuted at #1 and have been certified Gold in the U.S.: 2010’s GRAMMY-nominated Contra, and 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City, which won that year’s GRAMMY for Best Alternative Album.

STATIC-X Announces Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary Tour & Memorial Tribute to Wayne Static

Featuring Co-Headliners DEVILDRIVER & Support from DOPE, Plus More Support TBA

Watch a New Tour Promo Video Here

STATIC-X to Feature Original Band Line Up: Tony Campos, Ken Jay and Koichi

As teased late last year, STATIC-X will head out on their highly-anticipated Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary tour this summer, which will also serve as a memorial tribute to late vocalist Wayne Static. The tour will feature co-headliners and metal giants DevilDriver, and will also feature support from heavy mainstays Dope. The tour will begin in Tempe, AZ on June 18 and will visit over a month’s worth of cities, coming to an end in Las Vegas, NV on July 27.

Tickets will go on sale via individual venues this Friday (pre-sale begins tomorrow). Meet & greets are available now via www.Static-X.org and www.DevilDriver.com. See below for all dates.

“Our intention is to pay ultimate respect to Wayne and to celebrate the music that has been in all of our hearts for more than 20 years,” says bassist Tony Campos. “It’s all about channeling the vibe from 1999 to the best of our ability and playing those classicSTATIC-X songs live and loud.

“Rehearsals have been awesome,” adds guitarist Koichi Fukuda. “The music and the vocals are sounding really great! I feel like Wayne would be proud.”

In celebration of this announcement, STATIC-X have revealed an exclusive promotional video for the tour, including a brand new clip of the band performing a newly-recorded version of their hit song “Push It”, featuring an unidentified vocalist. Watch here:https://youtu.be/7Kya89wzOlc

We understand that people are naturally going to want to know more about who is singing,” says drummer Ken Jay. “We have discussed this at great length and we came to the conclusion that at this time, it would be inappropriate for us to put the focus on anyone other than Wayne, Tony, Koichi and myself. It feels like the best way for us to celebrate Wayne’s legacy, along with the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip, with all of our fans.”

DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara says, “For those who don’t know, I am the one who first discovered STATIC-X back in the day in a small club in front of about 40 people! From that moment forward, I was and have always been a fan of what they do. It’s unique and will always hold a special place musically for me.

Co-headlining this first memorial tour is not only a way to pay homage to Wayne, but something I’m very excited to do. STATIC-X will be closing the show each night out of respect for Wayne. I’ll be there nightly, side stage, watching the unit do their thing with a big smile. I hope that Wayne will be there in spirit, watching as his brothers pay respect by bringing this music back to the fans that made the band so massive! I know he would have loved this!

Don’t miss out and grab tickets before these dates sell out! DevilDriver will have a full headlining set and we are throwing in some “surprises”, so get ready to get LOCO! If there was ever a time for me to break out Coal Chamber tracks, this would be the tour to do it on… we will also add new stuff from DevilDriver before our double record comes out in late summer! Come join us for the summer tour of a lifetime!”

On this tour, support artist Dope will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album, Felons and Revolutionaries“We are super excited to be part of this tour,” says Edsel Dope. Dope and STATIC-X played hundreds of shows together back in 1999 and 2000, so it’s an honor to be able to run it back 20 years later.”

As announced, the original STATIC-X lineup introduced on their 1999 platinum-selling debut full-length album, Wisconsin Death Trip – bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay – have joined forces once again to release a new album, Project Regeneration. More information on the release of the new album will be revealed in the coming weeks.

For Project Regeneration, the band has cultivated a treasure chest of vocal performances and musical compositions left behind by Wayne. Along with the help of STATIC-X‘s long-time producer Ulrich Wild, the band is in the process of completing their seventh studio album, which will feature between 12 and 15 brand new STATIC-X tracks.

Check out a new teaser featuring clips from a brand new music video, as well as five new STATIC-X tracks – “Road To Hell”, “Something Of My Own”, “Terminator Oscillator”, “Hollow” and “Disco Otsego” – along with a personal message from bassist Tony Campos about the inspiration behind Project Regeneration now at www.static-x.org. For the unfinished tracks, the band is inviting several of their friends to lend their voices for the completion of this very personal project. The guest vocalist curation process is being led by none other than SiriusXM programming pioneer Jose Mangin, who is working alongside the band as one of the executive producers for Project Regeneration.

STATIC-X has created a pre-order campaign allowing fans who purchase Project Regeneration in advance to have their name appear in the liner notes of the new album. Additional special pre-order package options are also available, including Project Regeneration merch bundles and several old school STATIC-X merch items to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip.  Pre-orders are available via www.static-x.org

Madame Mayhem Releases New Single “Broken”

The single was co-written with Keith Wallen of Breaking Benjamin and features Ray Luzier of Korn on drums, as well as Billy Sheehan of David Lee Roth, Mr. Big and others on bass.

Madame Mayhem will be attending NAMM 2019. Please get in touch if you would like to interview her at the show. She is also available for phone interviews.

Those who yearn for the electric catharsis of loud guitars, driving rhythms, hypnotic hooks, and the strength of shared experience have a new muse in Madame Mayhem.

The Manhattan-born singer-songwriter/rock-icon-in-the-making has weaponized the darkness, turning it into a rallying cry for all who were ever cast aside. Songs like “Broken,” “War You Started,” and “So Wrong” are equal parts timeless sentiment, bare-knuckle fury, and energized urgency. Madame Mayhem’s songs rival the best of Modern Rock, early ‘90s emotive-grunge, and nü-metal angst.

As her name suggests, Madame Mayhem takes charge of her own anxiety, hurt, and alienation, crushing it with sheer force of will, then channeling the remaining ether into pulse-pounding anthems, instantly connecting with anyone who has struggled.

An acolyte of heartfelt melody from a young age, the classically trained singer, pianist, and guitarist studied at the Manhattan School of Music and Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Broadway may have beckoned, but the pull of hard rock was stronger. Pairing her well heeled chops and personal theatricality with raw sonic force Madame Mayhem quickly commanded attention from iHeart Radio, VH1’s That Metal Show and a powerhouse team of luminaries from the rock world.

She’s shared stages with Sevendust, Memphis May Fire, Fozzy, and Doro.

Across three exceedingly well-received albums – Ready for Me (2017), Now You Know (2015), and White Noise (2012) – Madame Mayhem worked with Russ “Satchel” Parrish (Steel Panther), Corey Lowery (Stuck Mojo), Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), and Troy McLawhorn (Evanescence) to name just a few.

Her music has taken her into some of the world’s best-known venues, like B.B. King Blues Club in New York, The Roxy in Hollywood, and a Grammy week stint at Nashville’s Bluebird Café, to name just a few. Loudwire premiered her “Ready for Me” music video. She’s garnered very positive press in Revolver and Guitar World. The buzz has spread overseas as well, demonstrated by profiles in long-running tastemaker publications like Rock Hard, Aardschok, and Metal Hammer magazine.

As the fashion press observed, the look is the medium and the music is the message.

The self-expression inherent in goth and glam are just more colors on Madame Mayhem’s artistic palette. Black eyeliner and black leather; pink lips and sharp spikes; it’s part of an arsenal as timeless as the New York Dolls or The Runaways.

There’s no escaping the darkness. Life is full of unpleasant surprises. Real and imagined disasters, from outside forces and from within, threaten at every turn. But those who learn to control and command the chaos will triumph. This rock n’ roll badass invites each audience to become the Madame of their own Mayhem. As ASX says, “she’s aggressive, outrageous, and operatic… And she’s ready for you.”

Madame Mayhem is managed by FM Music Management and distributed by The Fuel Music.
